Outer Spaces app for iPhone and iPad

Outer Spaces utilizes the latest advances in augmented reality (AR) to create computer-generated, interactive visual experiences fused with real-world locations. Accessible via users iphones or ipads, our media-rich AR worlds invite users to explore and interact with featured content. Designed for any event, site or situation, Outer Spaces is an advanced tool to showcase artist projects at any location, at any time, reaching new audiences and expanding exposure.

Outer Spaces is compatible with iPhone 5,  iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 2 with 3G and the new iPad with cellular; cellular capability is required for this app. Please note, Outer Spaces will not run on iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, 3GS or iPads without cellular.

[Instructions]


-Find Outer Spaces by the entrance to the Scope Miami 2012 Art Fair tent, 110 N. E. 36th St. at Midtown Blvd. Miami, Florida.


-Always hold your device horizontally.


-Once you start the app, allow the world to load and make sure all, or most of, the lights on the GPS bar are lit. (GPS bar at bottom center.)

-Move around in a circle until the five Outer Spaces galleries appear on your screen.


-Walk toward and into any of the five Outer Spaces galleries--the Fiat; VH1; Red Bull Curates; Galerie Maurtis van de Laer; or Augmented Mountain galleries.


-Once inside, a different world will envelop you.

-Touch an artwork to activate it.

-When in the Augmented Mountain gallery, 2D art works will surround you. Touch one and an information page will fill your screen. Press the "done" button to return to the gallery space. This information page includes an AM icon; if touched, this will take you to the AM website and you will exit the app. If you wish to return, please restart Outer Spaces.

-When in the VH1, Red Bull Curates or Galerie Maurtis van de Laer gallery, you will see spinning 3D cubes. Touch one and it will surround you with a new 3D information space. Touch the interior to return to the larger gallery. A 2D icon, placed slightly above the cubes, will take you to the corresponding website and you will exit the app. If you wish to return, please restart Outer Spaces.

-When in the Fiat gallery, a panoramic image will wrap around you. Touch the Fiat icon and you will be taken to the a website for more information and you will exit the app. If you wish to return, please restart Outer Spaces.
